The incident took place at a Williams-Reserve Blvd.
Once in custody, all 3 admitted that the powder sold was fake and did not actually contain heroin. The purported heroin will be sent to a crime lab to determine what it actually is. Both aduts were taken to the Medina County Jail.
All three were chartged with drug trafficking. Director Gary Hubbard- "Under Ohio law the trafficking of a counterfeit drug can be considered the same as selling the actual illegal drug itself. Selling fake drugs can be extremely dangerous.
Drug users acquire their money by whatever means necessary. When they find that someone is trying to steal their drug money they often respond with violence. Heroin addicts are especially desperate to acquire their drug.
